What a huge mistake! Well….initially it was. I began selling waist beads because my mom went back to home to Sierra Leone and I asked her to bring a few back for me. Instead of a few, she brought HUNDREDS of them in every single color combination one could imagine. I had no idea what to do with all of them because there was no way I could wear so many. The obvious thing to do was to
sell them. So I began selling waist beads at every pop up event, cookout, college campus, and anywhere else I could find.

Being the Waist Bead Plug has allowed me to share my culture and educate people about the purpose of waist beads and my other products while supporting my family back home! So thank you mommy for being so indecisive about which colors to buy me and a HUGE thank you to my Aunty Mabinty who actually hand makes all of the
waist beads featured on the site.
